Buccal refers to the anatomy, "cheek" in Latin. It does not mean intra oral. It is NOT a type of massage, only refers to an area of the face. Buccal Massage is a combination of lymphatic drainage and Myofascial Release of the cheek areas, creating a more pronounced jawline, cheekbones and supra-orbital ridges. Myofascial Release is long sustained holding of a particular area of the fascia or connective tissue, to help open and release tension. This treatment can either be worked on externally or intra orally. For Intra oral work, using gloves, the massage therapist carefully enters the mouth and addresses specific muscles for a desired outcome. Buccal massage can help lift, sculpt, tone, open and plump your face to help bring the natural flow of energy and body, while bringing a vibrant looking glow. This technique helps drain the lymphatic system of the neck and face and loosen the fascia of the jaw and cheek regions. This can also be beneficial for TMJ problems, jaw tension, double chin, puffiness, improves voice, more vibrant color to eyes, more definition to jaw and cheek bones. This service does not use any product such as oils and/or lotions, and clients are advised to arrive with clean/dry, face, neck and ears (no make-up, sunscreen, lotions, etc.). Results vary person to person.
